Madelyn was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called 2q23.1 Microdeletion Syndrome which causes seizures, learning problems, speech delays, behavior problems, trouble sleeping, & developmental delays in addition to several others. Kids with this disease are fondly called 2qties.
